It works with LWSN. You have to make sure that the cache path can be accessed by the render clients as well. The easiest way to do this is to use the Relative to Content Directory checkbox. Then make the whole content directory available to the render clients.
On Windows you also have to run the installer once on every render client.

I can not get it to render on my network. I also use BNR to control the renders. I've used the "Relative to Content Directory" checkbox, and run the installer on each of the client machines.

For me it only renders the turbulence component on the main machine that I run the BNR controller from, the clients render the Lightwave objects but leave the turbulence component out. I'm certain the clients can access the cache path.

Could you send me the log from one of the clients after a failed render?
It's on the client machine in the user's home directory (not My Documents on XP) called turbulence.log.

Sorry, I can not find any turbulence log files on my client machines, only on the main controller machine. I've done a windows search for it on the clients.

Ok, thanks. This means the plugin isn't even running on the client machine, which in turn probably means that LW cannot load the plugin for some reason. Could you try to run Layout on one client machine and see if you can use the plugin there as you would on the main machine?

No you're right, the client can't use the plugin as it would on the main machine. I installed Lightwave on one of my client machines. Then uninstalled and installed turbulence again on this client machine. But I cannot find the Add Fluid Container in the Edit Menu Layout. If try add TurbulenceLWLGCY_lw9.p manually it says "Plugins were not found or could not be added".

Which version of LW are you using exactly? 9.6, 9.6.1 or HC? Which build number?
And can you confirm that it's the right combination of 64bit layout and 64bit TFD?

I installed both the 32 and 64 bit version of Lightwave 9.6 build 1539 on the client machine, and both the 32 and 64bit of versions TFD v0.3.8 to see if one version was working. Both versions in the right combination (32bit TFD 32bit LW, 64bit TFD 64bit LW) don't seem to work in lightwave on my client machine.
